5Big an Bad!!  Jul 03, 2010 By Chris aka Gator
This is a BIG an Bada$$ rocket!!I just completed assembly but I modified my Executioner by adding another BT-80 tube so it stands an impressive 4'5"!!To do this modification you will need another BT-80 tube,BT-50 tube,an joiners of each size(search the net this are cheap if you find the "right" vendor)but it is well worth the investment to make a beast of a rocket that will turn heads at any launch site.A 1/4" launch rod also is needed for this rocket.I prefer not to use the ones that screw together(they just seem to never be able to be kept straight an bend very easy)an purchased a 1/4" solid steel rod at local hardware store for under $4. Pictures of mine are posted under customer images. So buy it,build it,an watch everyone drool over your BIG an BAD rocket!!

5Great Rocket  Jan 03, 2012 By Mike Truitt
I recently purchase two of the Estes Executioner rockets. My son and I built the rockets together. We have been launching rockets for some time. This was the first rocket we built that could use the E-Motor. For a skill level 3 rocket this was a very easy build. For the first launch we used D-Motors with the included adapter. First flights were great. I like the slow flights because you can see what the rocket charactoristis are like and launches can be done in a smaller area. My son and I had fun with the entire project and will do this again. Already we are talking of buying additional model rockets of this type and adding cloth parachutes, reusable engines, longer body tubes, etc. I would also recommend the Estes Big Bertha model rocket.

5Nice BIG rocket  Oct 11, 2011 By Timothy D. Shoppa
I am very satisfied with the Estes Executioner. It's a big rocket with impressive launches.

Motor mount and fins/fin mounting are very well suited to the task. No wimping out here. Build is very straightforward and like I said all the parts are well sized for their tasks.

Very impressive flights. The overall pencil shape of the rocket makes it less likely to weathercock than some other designs (e.g. Big Daddy). I've had excellent success with the rocket taking off straight up, popping the parachute, and coming back straight down.

With a D engine and calm winds, this rocket is a pretty good match to say a 400x400 foot field.
