Really does just snap together! May 21, 2010
By Scott K. Walker I bought this for my son (age 10) who still does lots of Legos. I figured if he could follow Lego instructions, he could do this. He wanted to build a model rocket for one of his requirements for Webelos Scientist activity pin.
The instructions were good, and he was able to follow them. Some of the parts were difficult for him to snap together, and he needed some helping hands on those parts.
It is a model rocket. It is designed for light weight, so the plastic fins *seem* flimsy, and seem like they would be easy to break. One launch so far, successful recovery, and it is still fine.
This is not a high flying rocket for experienced builders. This is a starter rocket that takes only mini engines (on a full sized rocket), so it stays fairly close to the launch pad. If you are looking for a first rocket that is quick and easy to build, this is not a bad choice.
