A Good Launch Pad for most Rockets Mar 18, 2007

Estes has provided a good all-purpose launch pad for the model rocket enthusiast. It will handle all the model rocket kits that Estes makes. (Significantly larger and more powerful rockets will require a more stout launch pad). It is easy to assemble and disassemble for compact storage.
The launch pad has a tripod base to adjust for wind direction. It comes with a two-piece rod that holds the rocket in place on the launcher and gives the rocket the intial direction during take-off. It has a blast shield plate to safely absorb the heat of the engine blast.
Estes has provided a cap for the top of the launch rod that has a small wind streamer on it. It serves a dual purpose - it protects the rocketeer from getting an eye poked out, and shows the direction and strength of the wind at launch time.
We have used our launcher for years without breakage. It is a good product.

You can get two rockets and a launching pad for under $25.00. Where can you have so much fun for so little money? Nowhere. Thanks to Estes and China. These rockets are as much fun now as they were in 1975. I would definitely get the rocket launching pad combination, don't just get the launching pad...

By guy I got this launch pad with a rocket kit that worked great. It is very durable it bent slightly when i tripped over it but it was bendable back and it still works fine. However, this is kinda pricey. The one star review on this launch pad is only because the buyer was upset about the price. Yes, you can get it cheaper if u buy it from a hobby store as a kit, but it still works fine.
