This is the one you want! Dec 29, 2011
By Jeff Diamond We tried several other of the rubberband balsa planes and were disappointed. They were just so poorly constructed, and so weak, that they couldn't take off by themselves and/or shattered instantly in a crash - not like the ones we remembered when young. But this one was everything I remembered - it's made a bit thicker and more durable - crashes don't hurt it. And it has TWO rubberbands that it uses at the same time for extra umph - it can fully take off from the ground by itself, and can fly over the neighbor's roof. Plus, it has thoughtful adjustment tips printed on the underside of the wings.
After almost giving up on other rubber band planes, I just ordered a second of this one. :)

I personally did not play with this. I did send a mix of balsa wood planes to my baby boy [age 40] as a Christmas gift. His feed back was great.

Loved these as a kid Feb 29, 2012
By haledj I love balsa wood airplanes, and this is a very good one. Not as flimsy as some others, and very well made. It flys as well as any ones I have seen. It was bigger than I expected. I haven't crashed it bad enough to break it yet.

Durability is terrible Jan 18, 2012
By Adam Stone My daughter wanted to learn about planes, so I bought this to teach her about lift and drag. She waited for it excitedly, we built it, followed the instructions for a limited test flight, and it snapped in half on the first flight. Don't waste your money.
