Great little kit Nov 11, 2010
By Matt Forster I am a little concerned that it took a whole university aerospace club to get one of these to fly (see previous review). Seriously. My four-year-old and I put this together this morning and spent the afternoon chasing it down. It is what it is, though: a balsa-wood airplane. In the end, the tail broke from crashing into trees and such. But that's why they cost $2.99 at Hobby Lobby and not $29.95. Next time we'll buy a couple so that while one's flying someone can be winding the other one up for the next run.

Didn't have to say back in the day Nov 28, 2011

This was a trip down memory lane for me, and a chance to show my daughter how it was when I was young. She really enjoyed the fact that it flew all on its own. It was nice for once that I didn't have to say back in the day, but could play with my daughter and have her experience the joy of flight and the agony of busted balsa wood! This toy breaks just like they did back in the good ole days, but that let me talk to my daughter about how to fix it. All in all, I had a great day with my daughter which is priceless.

Flew well Jan 08, 2012
By Alex Magdaleno It flew well, crashed several times and did not break, which is more than I can say for the Giant Sky Rover flyer, which flew about 20 ft, crashed and broke.
In this ones final flight it flew about75 feet and up about 30 feet into a neighbors tree, where it looks like it will stay forever. It surprised me in how far if flew. I am going to order two more.

Doesn't last long but is great fun Dec 20, 2011
By r1ccc This glider plane was great fun to play with. It's not made of carbon fiber so it will not last long, but for the price it's great fun. My kids loved it.

Balsa pacifier Dec 13, 2011
By Lucas X. Bozek

About one year ago, someone put this in a box with several kits I bought on line. We went to CA to visit my son and his wife along with a 2 and a half year old who is simply hell on wheels. This is the first time he focused on something for more than 20 seconds, and for an hour or so, until the rubber band self destructed, we had the time of our lives. Don't go to the park with just one, it's balsa for God's sake! It doesn't come with a warranty. And if you want to extend the life of the rubber band, lubricate it with Armor All or even a little Vaseline and it will last a little longer. These used to cost a nickel, so did a loaf of bread, but the fun we had is priceless. I am happy that these are still made. I won't go to CA without two or three in the bag.
